Spring Break! or is it brake?

Last week was a wonderful opportunity to get some time with my kiddos at home. It was so nice to have the whole week with them out of school. David was in town for most of the week and we culminated our celebrating at Denny's for some pancakes and such on Thursday morning. We are wild party animals, I know that is what you were thinking, right? I mean Denny's, I was almost worried to put that in there.

It was nice to have some time to get things done that never manage to get done around my house. I spent most of the week getting my garage cleaned and organized and realizing that I was silly to keep all those ancient cell phones and mobile CD players. I recycled a bunch of stuff and it felt great! The other part of the week I spent working in my yard and having a blast doing it. I love yard work and I know that makes me even harder to understand.

Just the week before we were again inundated with ice and snow, but this time it melted amazingly fast and was the perfect kind for playing in! We enjoyed some homemade snow cones and what not.

Last week ended with a wonderful Pig Roast that Wycliffe Associates puts on here in Dallas for all their members. Poor Diane missed it due to illness but I grabbed Creed and Asher and we got our pig, we were achi'n for some bacon... he's a big pig, you can be a big pig too... thanks Lion King! It was packed out and I got stuck at a table with a similar maturity level to my own... yes the oldest was 13 :).

The next day I was off to serve with the MK's at Shoes for Orphaned Souls! It was a great time to connect with them and get to know them better... and serving was a lot of fun too. Buckner is a great mission and part of the service is packing shoes and putting notes in them. I really enjoyed writing notes to the kids and thinking about how they would react when they read them. Good stuff!

This week has started off great! Diane took me out on a wild date for St. Patrick's day. Yeah we know how to have fun! We went to to the spillway at Joe Pool lake and walked across the dam while enjoying our milk shakes from Sonic. I got the chocolate jalapeno and it was interesting. A one time adventure for me I think. I really enjoyed just being with my wife out in the beauty that God has created, I wish that he had created fewer mosquito's, but his ways are higher than my ways and his thoughts are higher than my thoughts. Needless to say, thanks to Diane, I have the perfect shirt to avoid getting pinched... Green Lantern... just so good!

I'm the mission of the month at my Church right now and it has been a real blessing to share about my trip to Cameroon with them and the other wonderful things my job entails. I'm already getting excited about going on my next mission trip, which is back to Thailand! It's hard to believe it's almost time to go again. The worst thing about these trips is leaving my wife and kids, I miss them so much while I'm gone... this time I will only have to miss my kids! Diane is coming along and I'm pumped. Thanks to Ron and Roxanne being back and being willing to watch our kids, the Mrs. is coming back to Thailand and won't be crazy pregnant this time. I'm sure that will make the trip a little more comfortable for her :).

With Diane on board it means we need to raise double the money! So if you are interested in partnering with Diane and I in her going to serve in Thailand with me this summer please click on the supporting the work tab at the top of the page and make a one time donation to my ministry. We have to raise $5,000 total for the both of us to go

Thanks so much for how much you already are doing to partner with me in this work! It is truly remarkable and a blessing. March is the two year mark of me doing this full time! I can't do this without you and I'm so thankful for you and pray for you often! You are truly a part of all the things that I do and a tremendous blessing!

I hope that you enjoyed your Spring Break! or are about to enjoy it!

Blessings,

Caleb

If you want to support what I do a little or a lot, on a one time basis (for a mission trip to Thailand perhaps :) or on a recurring basis, click on the tab "Supporting the Work" at the top of the page. Diane is my beautiful wife and the mother of my precious children Creed 7, Asher 5, Liam 3, Echo already in heaven and Bella, getting bigger all the time.
