Can you smell that?

 It's Spring!!!!

I feel like I just got my footing back after being gone all of February! I love Spring so much and we just got our garden in for the year! It is awesome to sit outside and hear the birds and smell the flowers and enjoy the world coming back to life after a long winter. It just fills me with joy and energy and hope! I love the color green!

We Eastered! A huge egg hunt at the church gave us all plenty of eggs to do another huge egg hunt at the Gebauers'. This year I did Easter Trivia around the table. It was quite fun and informative. And of course, we got our awesome family picture for the next year/2 or 3 years. 😉 Diane loves family pictures. 😄

April and May are our big Birthday months. Creed kicks off the year and then is followed closely by Serenity.

Creed is 16 now and is applying for jobs and will soon start the journey toward driving! I am so proud and feel like it's bittersweet. I remember the day we drove him home from the midwife and now he is taller than I am! He's such a rock, a servant, passionate, wise and so fun to be with! May God keep blessing you Creed and may He always be the one great pursuit in your life!

Serenity is a bundle of joy and light and enthusiasm! She brings smiles with her where she goes. She is probably getting glasses soon; you can pray that all goes well. I love you my precious baby girl! So grateful for you! May God keep holding you and singing over you as you grow to love Him more and more!

One of the really fun Easter things we got to go do was a choral performance put on by FMT. Diane's Dad, Brother, and Sister were all in it, which made it even more fun!

One of the fun traditions we've added to the FORT group (formerly Dallas MK) is called Meet The Leaders. We get 2 classes together for a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon once a month and we get to know them a lot better. Here we feature the 9-10th graders! I love so many parts of this job!

As the year closes we get to do more big school things! Here Creed is doing his big school thing called Mosaic, his group is building a Solar Car!!!! He's explaining it to a captivated audience.

I entered a banana bread baking contest recently and got second place. Look at that beauty! My first ever banana bread. I created the contest and there were only three of us. 😁

Please be praying for my wife.

Just kidding. I mean... do pray for her, healing in her body and such, but not because of this awesome art she is doing. 😃I love Diane's artistic abilities. She has so many talents and our house is getting more and more beautiful as a result!

Creed is applying for jobs and Asher is learning how to make money mowing lawns! I love watching my kids make money for my future... I mean grow up and learn new skills.

I'm so busy! I was gone most of Spring Break at a conference for MK caregivers... but I did take one day off and party with the family! My favorite thing we did was go to the trampoline park... that was so fun! We played tag and follow the leader and my goodness are my kids so fast on trampolines! So so fun!

As some of you may know... I have a very modest laugh, probably hard for you to even remember because when I laugh it's quiet and tasteful and always at appropriate times when others are also laughing and so it gets lost in the mix. So, I'm not really sure what happened here but I'll share the story.

I got a great picture with the speaker at the MK caregivers conference I went to. He was awesome, funny and engaging and spoke on a really relevant topic. He is a counselor who works online with kids all over the world. Mental health is such a big topic these days, and I learned a lot. My modest, gentle laugh somehow got noticed in the crowd to the point where he was so blessed by it that he gave me a really nice wooden pen and holder. Really a miracle :). It was a fun experience, and really neat to be noticed for just being me :).

One of my favorite FORT events is our Spring camping trip! We went back to Mineral Wells for two nights of fun! We rock climbed and hung out at the lake and made food by the fire and I shared both nights about what it means to follow Jesus and how to turn words into actions. I love being able to do these things with my kids! I'm so blessed with incredible leadership in this group and students who make camping fun! These are the events our group needs to continue to bond and heal after
 COVID.

Well, that should catch you up some! God is teaching me to receive. He is the giver and all the good things come from Him. I'm asking Him to help me see all the ways I can be open to receiving all the good things he Has, the perspective to grow during struggles and suffering, the heart to trust Him when things are challenging and I have to wait for answers, or when I'm called to do hard things. God is good and has something to give, and I have a heart to receive! I'm keeping my eyes open and I'm trying not to force things, but to wait on the Lord and have an open heart!

So, some things that you can pray for! My support has taken a hit through COVID and if you are interested in becoming a partner in what I'm doing, I'd love to help you follow God's leading in joining the work He is doing through me! I know the deal God and I made - I'm going to faithfully follow and He is going to bring in what I need to do that. Maybe He is calling you to be a part of what He's doing! I don't usually like to ask, it feels a little like I'm not trusting, but I'm feeling like He's calling me to ask, so there it is.

I have lots of work things to figure out. The Jamaica trip in June has lots of question marks! Please pray for wisdom and God's grace as I wait to receive the amazing things He has in store for this trip.

I'm heading back to Asia to do a conference in July and then may go to another conference immediately after that. My heart hurts as I consider being away from my family all of July, I want to be useful in the Kingdom and follow well the path laid out for me, but I need comfort and some of the details are tricky. Please pray for wisdom and comfort!

Diane has some exciting medical things coming up! Pray that God heals her from her chronic pain and that she can make real progress in her health journey. Also pray for Serenity as she gets glasses soon! Pray for Creed as he seeks a job and learns to drive!

As always, I'd love to share more in person, some details should remain vague in this format.

I'm so grateful for you all in this journey! Your faithful support and fellowship on this journey mean so much to me! I couldn't do this without you, and I would never even want to! You spur me on and keep me from missing the Grace of God you pray me through hard times and give me hope! You are a treasure and a big part of all the cool things, past, present and future that God is doing in my life!

Blessings,

Caleb
