Celebrate! God is good!

Let's start this amazing blog post of destiny with some pictures from one of our favorite past times.... Celebrate Freedom!!! This outdoor all-day music celebration is a family tradition, and this year was spectacular with the best fireworks show I have ever seen and cloudy, cool (comparatively) weather. It was great to sing along with the Newsboys, Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin and Casting Crowns! God is so good and it wonderful being there with Diane, Creed, Asher, and Serenity. My gracious parents stayed home with the other two.

It was my favorite Celebrate Freedom yet!

Our amazing MKs continue to be blessings in their community. This was our first of 3 community service projects that are being organized by the MKs themselves! We helped a wonderful couple with their yard.  One of them has cancer and doesn't have the energy to work in the yard anymore and we were able to be a real blessing and encouragement to them.

I was so thankful that Nadia was able to complete the initial course in the Trauma Healing. She works with me in the Dallas MK group and it was great having her get equipped to help the kids and others with their own trauma! I got my advanced training done and it was such a blessing having my parents teach the class! They are so cool! Trauma... we are coming for you!

While I was in class all week Diane (aka super mom) took the kids on lots of adventures!

Recently we watched "Inside Out" with the kids at our own makeshift theater in my driveway! It was a great way to connect with the MKs. This movie is perfect for many of their situations and just life in general!

We finally got Serenity baptized!!! It was a great time and such a blessing! My cousin Sami and his wife Joanna are the godparents! Yay!

And now some pictures featuring silly string...

And now Diane doing an amazing job of having a cake and eating it too :)

Life goes on and God provides. As I'm sitting here typing this I'm tempted to worry about the troubles big and small that I'm facing.  One of the most imminent is the fact that my air conditioner isn't cooling properly.  :(  But God is so faithful in reminding me that he is my provider and my protector and has a perfect plan for my family! I had a dream the other day that the Lord was telling me to prepare for battle, but it was an inspiring dream more than anything! He who is in me is greater. I follow the good shepherd and I am more than a conqueror because of him. This hot house is temporary.  :)

Malaysia is coming fast! I feel like Gideon watching his army change as I see the Lord change my team and form it to what he desires. It takes trust, but that is what it means to walk by faith. Please be in prayer for my team as we put the final touches on the preparation together and for us as we go. We will be gone July 23-August 4. This is a spiritual battle and we can use all the prayer we can get!

Nothing about this trip has been easy or smooth and it just indicates that whatever God is calling us to do is dangerous to our enemy!

A few weeks ago we had 4 out of 5 of our kids sick and were swamped with activity.  Now our kids are all well and things are settling down just a little. I know that prayer is powerful and works and I'm so grateful for your ministry to me and my family through your powerful and effective prayers!

You are such a huge reason that I can keep pressing forward and chasing the adventure that God has for me. And, as I finish this paragraph, I can already feel the cool air starting to come out of the AC again. I don't know if it will last, but in this moment (and life is just a summation of all my moments) I am grateful! I'm grateful for your support and relationship and for a God who is bigger! You all mean so much to me!

Blessings,

Caleb
